So, this year’s Sofia Pride was on 18 June (last Saturday), and of course I was there. :)

So, the Sofia Pride got postponed because there was a flood in another part of the country and at least 10 people died in it (tomorrow is a day of national mourning). But our "nationalist" opponents still marched in the streets of Sofia and only postponed their "anti-gay rock concert". The video description claims that the event was 'traditional" ( Read more... )

In the wake of Sofia Pride, the Bulgarian nationalist party Ataka (yes, Attack) proposed a bill in Parliament. Here is the full text on the Parliament's site in case somebody who is reading this understands Bulgarian. The usual homophobic hysteria in my country began much earlier this year because some people tried to get the event banned as part of their election campaign, and are still going on.
